How this is calculated
- Machines = the recipe's production machines × the number of lines. Each line is counted with its own machines; sharing one machine between products in turn is not modelled. Prices are the Factory Supply Depot listing (2 25th Street, Industry City).
- Max output per hour (per line, 100% uptime) is the value from the game's recipe help. Worker skill does not affect output, so there is no skill input. Output = max output per hour × running hours per day × lines × days counted.
- Raw materials = the amount per finished unit (materials needed per hour ÷ max output per hour) × output. The unit price is the cheapest importer's per-unit price, or the cheapest wholesale box price ÷ box size when there is no import data. Purchase prices are the game's base price × a fixed 0.9 (in game it moves between 0.5 and 1.3 each week; default difficulty).
- Importer addresses come from the game files (Pier 1–2 Garment District, Pier 3–4 Murray Hill, Pier 6–9 Lower Manhattan). One purchasing manager handles one importer, so you need as many managers as importers. Warehouses, pallet shelves, wages, vehicles and rent are not included (pallet shelf $2,500 each, 60 boxes).
- The sale value is the average of the 7 neighborhood prices (per-neighborhood price = the game's base price × that neighborhood's index, default difficulty). A low cost ratio does not mean a high hourly profit (whisky 1.2% ≈ $1,800/hour vs expensive jewelry 22.6% ≈ $41,600/hour).
- To check: compare with the game's recipe help, or with the hourly output at BizMan → warehouse (factory) → output station. If it differs, set the running hours to what the line actually runs.
