1. Does Big Ambitions have official multiplayer?

No. Big Ambitions 1.0 is listed on Steam as a single-player game, and there is no online co-op, no versus, and no mode where several people run businesses in the same city. Hovgaard Games has answered community questions saying they are not planning an online mode, and multiplayer does not appear on the published roadmap. A search for "Big Ambitions multiplayer" mostly turns up posts confirming exactly this, or the unofficial mod below.

2. The community multiplayer mod

In place of official support there is an unofficial mod. As of September 2026 a beta called "Going Public" (v0.2.x) is described as letting several players share one city. The mod alters game files, so you take on the following:

• Every player needs exactly the same game build and mod version to connect. A game update can break the mod.
• Save files can be corrupted, so back up your save folder before installing (see the recovery save answer in the FAQ).
• Connection failures, sync errors and problems recovering after a drop have been reported. Treat it as an experiment and keep it off your main save.
• Anything that goes wrong while modded is outside the developer's support.

Where the mod is distributed and how it is installed changes with each version, so this page does not pin either down. Check the newest posts on the Steam community or the official forum.

3. Other ways to play together

Taking turns on the same save works, as does starting from identical conditions — funds, difficulty, business type — and comparing profit after an agreed number of in-game days. The business profit calculator and the factory planner make it easy to hold both sides to the same basis. Store layouts can be saved as blueprints and passed back and forth.
